Look who's eight months old!

This post is incredibly belated - Hannah is closer to nine months than eight - but I did take the pictures when she was just eight months and promptly forgot to post them.  So, it still counts :)

These days she is a baby on the move - rolling around all over the place, holding on to furniture and bouncing, learning to crawl.  She's also turning into a very chatty girl!  She loves to babble and squawk (best word I can come up with for some noises) and click her tongue and explore all the things she can do with her voice.

Every day she becomes more of a kid and less of a baby, which always catches me by surprise.  One day, not too long from now, she'll be a toddler instead of a baby, and I will wonder where the time went.

Still has that sweet baby face!

But she looks so big!!

Thought about crawling...

And rolled instead :)

Standing practice - don't worry, I wasn't far away, so I caught her when she toppled

Trick or Treat!

I think Halloween is one of those holidays you sort of forget about as a young adult.  As a kid, it was great to run around in a ridiculous costume and get candy.  As a student, it was fun to get dressed up with friends and go to a party.  But as an adult without kids, it just wasn't that cool anymore.

Well, I have discovered that Halloween once again becomes cool when you have kids to enjoy it with!  We got Hannah all dressed up as a sweet strawberry (thanks to Nana for the awesome costume!) and Leonidas went as a banana (yes, we dress the dog up too).  Then we trolled around the neighborhood with some friends and their babies collecting candy that everyone knew only the adults could enjoy.  It was good times :)

I was nervous that all of the neighbors would think we were big mooches bringing our babies to trick-or-treat, but my mom assured me it was acceptable, and she was right - everyone was happy to meet the babies and super friendly to us too!

Clap clap for Halloween Hannah!

Sweetest strawberry I've ever seen

Had to get a picture of the stem!
Leonidas loved tolerated his costume

Strawberry and pea in a pod!

The babies were all very curious about each others' costumes

Sticking with the fruit theme, Alex and I were "Apple" and "Blackberry"
