Look who's eight months old!

This post is incredibly belated - Hannah is closer to nine months than eight - but I did take the pictures when she was just eight months and promptly forgot to post them.  So, it still counts :)

These days she is a baby on the move - rolling around all over the place, holding on to furniture and bouncing, learning to crawl.  She's also turning into a very chatty girl!  She loves to babble and squawk (best word I can come up with for some noises) and click her tongue and explore all the things she can do with her voice.

Every day she becomes more of a kid and less of a baby, which always catches me by surprise.  One day, not too long from now, she'll be a toddler instead of a baby, and I will wonder where the time went.

Still has that sweet baby face!

But she looks so big!!

Thought about crawling...

And rolled instead :)

Standing practice - don't worry, I wasn't far away, so I caught her when she toppled

Trick or Treat!

I think Halloween is one of those holidays you sort of forget about as a young adult.  As a kid, it was great to run around in a ridiculous costume and get candy.  As a student, it was fun to get dressed up with friends and go to a party.  But as an adult without kids, it just wasn't that cool anymore.

Well, I have discovered that Halloween once again becomes cool when you have kids to enjoy it with!  We got Hannah all dressed up as a sweet strawberry (thanks to Nana for the awesome costume!) and Leonidas went as a banana (yes, we dress the dog up too).  Then we trolled around the neighborhood with some friends and their babies collecting candy that everyone knew only the adults could enjoy.  It was good times :)

I was nervous that all of the neighbors would think we were big mooches bringing our babies to trick-or-treat, but my mom assured me it was acceptable, and she was right - everyone was happy to meet the babies and super friendly to us too!

Clap clap for Halloween Hannah!

Sweetest strawberry I've ever seen

Had to get a picture of the stem!
Leonidas loved tolerated his costume

Strawberry and pea in a pod!

The babies were all very curious about each others' costumes

Sticking with the fruit theme, Alex and I were "Apple" and "Blackberry"

Pumpkin patch bloopers

Yesterday's post contained lots of great pictures from our trip to the pumpkin patch.  There were also several bloopers, mainly from Hannah trying to eat...everything.  She's at the stage where she wants to put everything in her mouth, and as you'll see, Mom and Dad weren't 100% successful at keeping the yucky stuff out...

Grass...

Gourds...

More gourds...

And of course, a pumpkin

Pumpkins for the punkin

I love the fall and all of the activities that go along with it - watching the leaves change, breaking out the hoodies, drinking apple cider, and of course, picking pumpkins!  So naturally, I was super excited to take Hannah to pick out our pumpkins and the experience did not disappoint.

Mom wasn't the only one who was excited for the pumpkins!

Her little smirk cracks me up.

Looking so big with those shoes!

"Uh, I'm not quite sure what to do with my hands..."

It was a successful haul!

Even though her eyes are closed, we still managed to get a family shot :)

Wedding season!

Last weekend we had the wonderful privilege of celebrating the marriage of Alex's brother Austin and his sweet bride Kaitlyn.  They are a great couple and we are so excited that they found each other!

We had such a good time hanging out with family and friends that we were terrible photographers and barely took any pictures!  I did manage to snap a couple though of Hannah though (who was just amazing all weekend!), and I'm hoping Kait's actual photographer caught some more :)

All dressed up for the rehearsal dinner!

She couldn't wait for dinner - had to munch on her snack finger

Looking extra blond these days

She was exhausted but Mom enjoyed the snuggles :)

She had all of her spark back after some beauty sleep!

Looking so big and pretty in the lovely dress Grandma made for the wedding!

The Mr. and Mrs.  :)

Clap clap!

Hannah has a new trick - she can clap!  It's pretty amazing to me that she hears us say a word, and she responds with the right action.  She also turns when she hears her name and tries to imitate different sounds we make.  It's hard to believe someday she'll be saying words right back to us!

Cute

October is a busy month for us - between out of town visitors, two weddings, and events around town, I haven't had much time to blog!  But that's not for lack of blog-worthy material - there has been lots of cuteness going on around here recently that needs to be shared.  So without further ado, several photos of our super cute kiddo :)

Enjoying surviving a 90 degree fall day outside

All dressed up for a night early evening on the town with Mom and Dad

Playing peek-a-boo under the sheets

Blowing kisses from her jumparoo

Munching on a good book

Sitting up so big in her stroller - someone has to keep that fluffy pup in line!

Rocking some awesome leggings

She surprised us both when she discovered she could pull up on the couch!
