The true test

This week was our first true test of parenthood - my family (along with all of their delicious home cooking, dog walking, cleaning, and laundry help) left on Sunday, and Alex and I were left to fend for ourselves.

This included a trip to to the pediatrician for her two week check up.  This appointment is critical because at two weeks, babies should have regained their birth weight as a sign that they are getting enough to eat.

Our girl passed with flying colors - she blew past her birth weight of 8 lbs 14 oz, and came in at 9 lbs 14 oz and 22 inches.  If you're thinking, "wow, that sounds big", you are correct.  This puts Hannah at the 90th percentile for weight and 94th for height.  Mom and Dad are so proud :)

This also means she has officially outgrown newborn PJs.  She still fits in the onesies and pants, but newborn footie pajamas are a thing of the past.

  1. i love the pensive picture! she's contemplating how she's also above the 90th percentile for intellect, but still humble about it
