After all the presents had been opened and stockings had been unstuffed, we still had a few days to enjoy some rest and relaxation. Thanks to the unseasonably nice weather, we spent a lot of that time outside, working off all of the delicious Christmas cooking and treats we all consumed :)
At the end of our trip, we also had the privilege of witnessing Hayes' baptism. Alex was pretty excited about his role as Godfather, both for the lines he got to quote and for the part he will be able to play in Hayes' life as he grows up.

| Hannah and Pa exploring the barn |
| Hannah really enjoyed playing with Ma & Pa's two cats - Grey was particularly friendly! |
| She loves having tasks (too soon for a chore list??), so we put her to work collecting sticks and throwing them in the fire pit |
| Enjoying her favorite piece of playground equipment - the slide! |
| Catching a ride from Ma in her Dad's old wagon |
| We visited Alex's cousins' horses one afternoon - my favorite line was Hannah saying "Come see me neigh!" |
| What a sweet family - Uncle Austin, Aunt Kait, and Baby Hayes, as Hannah calls him |
| Although this picture may not capture it, Alex really does take his role as Godfather seriously :) |
