Playing and napping and strolling..oh my!

When Hannah was first born, she did three things - eat, sleep, and poop.  She still does all of those things, but she's added lots of playing, occasionally napping (a work in progress), and plenty of strolling to her repertoire.

Such a big girl standing tall on Dad's lap!

She recently discovered that she can reach her feet - feet are very fun :)

Look who's three months old!

This past month has really flown by - I can't believe Hannah is already three months old!  It seems like she is learning new skills every day - grabbing is her current favorite.  She grabs at everything, including her toys, her clothes, my clothes, my hair, the dog...anything she can reach.  But she still has her giant cheeks, just like her two months pictures!

Look who can grab AND eat her teddy bear!

She took a break from nibbling to pose for the camera

She's getting so big!

Smiling at Mom :)

Smiling at Dad off camera singing some country tunes

So angelic

Now she can grab these toys, instead of just swatting - so focused!

Superman!  She'll be crawling before we know it...time to baby proof!

Sweet Home Chicago

This week we put Hannah's road trip skills to the test by driving out to Chicagoland to be with my family - my grandpa passed away after a long illness, and we were there to say goodbye to him for now, and to celebrate that we will see him in heaven one day.  He was devoted to his family, and that legacy was reflected in all of us coming together to remember his life.

We were also bringing the baby home for the first time - a poignant reminder that we were saying goodbye to one generation, but welcoming the next.  We had so much fun introducing her to family and friends, and she was the best baby - slept great in the new environment, got passed around to lots of loving arms, and survived the 14 hour drives like a champ.

Mom got in on the playtime too :)

Great grandpa got to meet his 16th great grandchild - what a blessing!
She even got to meet a new friend - we love you Aubree!
We tried to get some pictures of Hannah in my dedication dress...

but she seemed more interested in eating it than posing in it.

Tiny Dancer

This video is already two weeks old, but it is too fun not to share - Hannah was showing off her dance moves while I was trying to take her two month pictures.  You should see her when we've got some music going!

Our first vacation

Last week we took our first family vacation - Alex was recruiting at a track meet where I also happen to have some family, so we loaded up the car and hit the road for a visit.  I was nervous about the long drive - Hannah doesn't love the car - but she was a trooper!  We had so much fun visiting my cousins and their fantastic kids.  At one point, we had all seven kiddos together - 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 10mo, and 2 mo.  It was a busy house!

Not sure why Hannah's head look gigantic here, but Ben was so sweet to snuggle with her!

Surrounded by boys playing games on their parents iPad/iPhone

Ben and Matty were so much fun to hang out with!

Haley got to hold the baby (who only cried the second the camera came out, I swear) - she'll be a great baby sitter  before we know it!
